Are your Patent Drawings secure?

Our October 2013 Article is out. This article is intended to present general knowledge and not legal or technical advice. Please consult with your legal and technology advisors. Patents are a form of commercial property allowing the owner to negotiate with potential investors while preserving their intellectual property rights. They allow the owner the best opportunity to profit from the invention by preventing others from copying it. Efforts should be made to secure all aspects of your invention from initial idea through the patent process. Follow the link for more.

  1. This is a great resource. I just heard about patent illustration for the first time this week and started looking into it. Looks like a good first find!

  2. I appreciate the link for more information. I have a few ideas that I have drawn up and I would like to patent them. I heard that patents cost a lot though. Is that true? Could you make payments on a patent if you don't have the money right away?

  3. Hi Ted,
Thank you for your comment. We only deal with the patent drawing aspect of patent applications. I can respond to aspects regarding cost of patent drawings but not the whole application process. I think it can be a costly process.
